Church walkout (4)

Sometimes I sit in church and pay careful attention to what the pastor is saying, not so I can learn from him and become a better Christian, but so I can catch him saying something anti-Biblical or otherwise cult-ish, at which point I would violently arise from my seat to the gasps of those nearby and shout, "That man's a liar and a thief," then triumphantly march out the door, likely to be followed by the many people who noticed the same anti-Biblical or otherwise cult-ish aspect of the sermon and were fearfully yet patiently waiting and hoping for someone to stand up and walk out. It hasn't happened yet. #religion

Dave,
I've got two stories of when I had the opportunity and didn't. I think I have decided that I will not let it happen again.
It's good to be on your toes though...as long as you're not preoccupied to the point of finding fault over hearing God's voice. :-) (Of course, one could argue that they should be one-in-the-same)

Two stories? Do tell. What was the anti-Biblical or cult-ish thing?

1) A Vietnam Vet/Evangelist speaking on Easter: On top of pandering his goods. ("There's a table in the back if you're interested in a hat like this or a book I wrote, etc"). When referring to immigrants who didn't like things about our country, telling them to get a plane ticket back home. And also, when referring to Terrorism and Iraq said, "I'd rather be fighting them over there than over here"
2) The following Memorial Day: A home grown production built on our country and our military. Complete with video of Missiles being fired and bombs exploding on targets. (Nothing like the mushroom clouds during worship). Skits that included such inspirational humor as "How do you clear a Bingo Hall in Iraq? Call out B-52!
Yeah, same church. Appalling. We don't go there anymore.

Ouch. The speaker probably would've hurled insults at you as you left. Sounds like that kind of guy.
