| About | My name is Dave Hosier. I started this website because I had a few things to write down. I'll stop when I have nothing left to say. Currently, I've said 1633 things about 61 topics, and 1171 comments have been made in response. This site has existed at ddhr.org since May of 2005, though it existed at several other locations in the past, including GeoCities, funkwagon.com, Stevens Old, Stevens New, Blogger, and daveinc.net (most, if not all, of those addresses don't work). I chose the address "ddhr.org" because it's the shortest domain name I could find that actually somewhat applied to me: ddhr is the first and last letters of my first and last names. The ".org" is supposed to mean I'm an organization, but obviously that's not true. If you think you know me, you might be right. I went to the following schools: Redeemer Nursery School, Marian Emmons McKeown Elementary School, Kittatinny Regional High School, and Stevens Institute of Technology. I played sports when I was a kid, including baseball for Kittatinny Little League, football for Kittatinny Midget Football, basketball, soccer, and golf. I like music and play several instruments, including the guitar (formerly in a band called Funkwagon), the piano, and the saxophone, and I've been involved in the jazz band at Kittatinny and at Stevens. I'm a Christian and I've attended the following churches: Lafayette Federated Church in Lafayette, Christ Community Church in Sparta, Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Hoboken, and Bethlehem Church in Randolph (all in NJ). I've had a handful of jobs in the past and present, including a burger flipper at McDonald's, an engineer/accountant/assembler/mover at Thorlabs, and an engineer/intern at Schering-Plough. I'm currently an engineer for the army. If you think you know me, you might be wrong. There's a David Hosier who worked as a developer for the video game Carmageddon at Moby Games, a David Hosier who was a software engineering major at California State University in Sacramento, a David Hosier who was the chairman of the Belvidere Ambulance Corps in 1945, a David Hosier who's the Project Director of The Freedom Reclamation Project, and a David Hosier who's a bus driver for the Monroe Central School Corporation. If you're a David Hosier, let me know. Other information about me: Here's a recent picture of me. My middle name is Hamilton. I was born on April 18, 1982 in Danbury, Connecticut. I was raised in Hampton Township in Sussex County, New Jersey. I currently live in the Borough of Hopatcong in Sussex County, New Jersey. I have two siblings: A sister named Dana (with a married name of Barrow) and a sister named Stacy (with a married name of Mumm). I have two parents: A dad named Harry who worked for many years at Nabisco and a mom named Betsy (Elizabeth) who worked for many years at Kittatinny. |
