Another change Monday, Sep 12, 2005 4:04 pm

Yes my website has undergone another drastic change.  It's only been about a month since I discovered website colors.  But I've gone back to the plain old black and white.  It's just better.  I like simple things.  Sorry to all you people who wanted some variation on my site.  You'll have to go somewhere else.

Another part of the big change is my gradual move away from divs and back into tables.  Divs seem to be unnecessarily complicated and they are in no way cross-browser compatible.  So most of my time was spent on making sure my formatting looked the same in IE as it looked in Firefox (I didn't even think about Safari or whatever those Mac-heads use.  Sorry, but I'm completely out of that loop).  And the whole reason I was using divs was because it's the "cool" thing to do, according to the HTML/CSS community.  Well screw them.  I'm back into tables.

And the most significant change is the advent of using WordPress as a content management system (CMS).  I thought about it for a while and finally decided to go for it.  I know that WordPress is capable.  I was just kind of unsure of how it would work and how much of a change it would be.  But I think it'll work just fine.  It basically consists of using "Pages" which "live outside of the normal blog chronology".  So that's my task for the near future.
