Wendy is from the Jersey Shore, so in turn I know a lot of people who live near the ocean.  What's surprising is how many of these people hate the beach.  I can understand the hatred of traffic and overcrowding, but other reasons I've heard for hating the beach include, "I just don't like it," and "I don't like sand."  I guess, technically, I don't really like sand either, but I don't let that stop me from going to the beach. #nature
