I flush dead bugs down the toilet because I have an irrational fear that they'll come back to life and take revenge on me by crawling in my ears, nose, or mouth while I'm sleeping. #psychology

And you don't ever feel like they might find a way to crawl back up the toilet??

I used to. But then I learned about residential plumbing systems. If something was to crawl back out of my septic tank (I've never started a sentence with that statement before), it would have to travel up through about 100 feet of pipes, around corners, through merges, going against the flow of other wastewater being evacuated out of the house (sinks, showers, etc.). This is assuming it didn't manage to hang on for dear life right at the bottom of the toilet, in which case my worst fears would come true. I like to place my trust in the magic of flushable toilets, which are powered by the magic of gravity.

Just so you know, I was laughing so hard one of my co-workers came up here to ask me what was so funny. lol. That was a good one. Okay, so I guess no bugs are going to crawl back out of your septic tank, but if by chance this were to happen...that would be some bug!

If a bug accomplished that feat, I would probably just give it the go-ahead. Do whatever you want, bug. You deserve it. You climbed through raw sewage in enclosed copper pipes, probably passing countless carcasses of your ancestors. So whatever your initial plan was, go ahead and do it.
