I'm surprised whenever I see people with really old cell phones, like the ones that look like little rectangular boxes and have single-color displays. If the person is my grandma or it's a prepaid phone, I can understand. But the people I see with these old phones are using them regularly and in public. I understand the idea of being cheap, but I also know for a fact that you can get a brand new cell phone for free every time you sign up for a service contract. Since I've never heard of a contract lasting longer than two years, and those old box phones haven't been around for about 3 or 4 years, that means you'd have to actually put in quite a bit of effort to not get a new phone. You'd have to be holding out for the past several years. I find that amazing. #technology

	Up until September, I had one of those phones. I figured, why get a new one when mine still works? Then I had to get a completely new contract - Dustin and I switched to a family share plan - and now I have a crazy new phone whose alarm clock settings drive me insane. I liked my old phone.

	Actually, I can see your point. New cell phones introduce useless and unnecessary features. If you're satisfied with the old one, more power to ya. But at the same, I would still get the new phone and sell it on eBay.

	Good call on ebay. I'll keep that in mind for next time. I seriously hate cell phones, especially the companies anyway, I wish I didn't "need" one. I especially hate how I have to share 700 minutes, when really all we need is (or is it are?) about 400 minutes to share. Especially with Verizon. I mean, most people I know have Verizon so when I call them it's free anyway. I bet I only use about 50 peak minutes a month. That should be some kind of record.
