The field goal is an essential part of football. When a touchdown is just out of reach, 3 points are a good consolation prize. But the recent Colts vs. Ravens playoff game took things just a little too far. The final score was 15-6, and all points were scored with field goals. With this in mind, I have a two-part opinion:

If a team doesn't score any touchdowns, they don't deserve to win. This is football, not soccer. The winning team should score at least one touchdown, or at least get a safety or two.
There should be a maximum number of field goals a team can kick per game. For example, after 3 field goals, a team should be forbidden from kicking another. Instead, they should have to either punt or go for it.

A game-winning field goal is one thing, but winning a game with field goals is another. #sports

	I disagree. This is why it is imperative that a good football team have good special teams. The more field goals, the better! I love field goals.

	I agree that special teams are important, seeing that a whole bunch of games are decided by field goals. However, they're special teams, implying they're less than useful. They had to come up with a whole different word just for this aspect of the game. "There's offense, and there's defense, and ... well ... there's that kicker guy and his crew. Let's call them 'special teams' so they don't feel unimportant." And that's how it went when God created football.

	Hahahaha. I guess I just have a thing for kickers (specifically Mike Nugent) and I like it when they are out there more than like twice a game. But just because there aren't any touchdowns in a game doesn't mean no one deserves to win. I mean, both teams could just have really good defenses. Which I know was not the case in the game last weekend, but I'm just saying.
